Trump Criticized for attacking Civil Rights icon John Lewis.

In an interview for Meet The Press Democratic Representative for Georgia — John Lewis called PEOTUS Donald Trump an illegitimate president because of Russian interference in last year’s election. Saying, “I think the Russians participated in helping this man get elected. And they helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton,”
Lewis was born in 1940 — when black people still lived in segregation. Lewis was inspired to fight for Civil Rights after listening to MLK’s sermons as well as the news of The Montgomery Bus Boycotts. He helped organize sit-ins at segregated lunch counters — and was once arrested during one of these demonstrations — but, Lewis, dedicated to the cause went on to participate in the Freedom Rides of 1961.
He was one of The ‘Big Six’ leaders of The Civil Rights Movement — along with Martin Luther King Jr. and in 1963 he helped plan The March on Washington, he also took part in the march from Selma, Alabama where he was so severely beaten that he suffered a fractured skull.
Lewis has been The Representative for Georgia’s 5th since 1987. And, following his remarks about The President Elect, Trump tweeted, “John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk — no action or results. Sad!” Following these remarks The Atlanta Journal-Constitution lead with the headline, “Atlanta to Trump: Wrong”
They are just one of many to criticize Trump for attacking John Lewis. Although, there are others that think that Trump had the right to defend himself after being criticized by Lewis.
